‘For two years, I have lived every day in fear for my safety, because of Andy Yun’ – S.K., victim

June 9, 2026

A Chilliwack man whose relentless online stalking and criminal harassment of a Surrey woman he barely knew has landed him with a jail sentence.

Andy Kyungho Yun, 48, was charged with criminal harassment after making and posting hundreds of bizarre YouTube videos targeting the woman he had worked with more than 20 years ago.

The harassment created intense and lingering fear and nearly ruined the victim’s life. S.K. can’t be named because of a publication ban

“I can barely leave my house,” S.K. told me back on April 20 while Yun was still out of custody with a warrant issued for his arrest.

“I’m feeling like I’m trapped in my own home. I’m going through therapy. I don’t know if he’s outside…. It’s really disturbing.”

He eventually was arrested, detained, denied bail, and pleaded guilty to criminal harassment and two breaches of court orders.

Yun and S.K. were in provincial court in Surrey Tuesday morning (June 9, 2026) for Yun’s sentencing.

“The fear I experience is never ending,” she said in her victim impact statement. “It follows me when I wake up, when I leave my home, when I’m out with my family, and even when I attempt to sleep. There is never a moment where I feel truly safe. As a result of Andy’s behaviour, I’ve became hyper-aware of my surroundings.

“I rarely go out in public unless I’m attending therapy sessions or self defence classes, and even then, I am constantly looking over my shoulder. The ongoing fear and stress, ultimately contributed to the loss of the job I loved, a role I worked incredibly hard to secure.

“These past two years, took a serious toll on my mental health. I experience severe depression, anxiety, and frequent panic attacks.”

The judge sentenced Yun to nine months in jail less credit for time already served, which was approximately two months. Upon release he faces two years probation. As part of his sentence, Yun must undergo psychiatric treatment and is subject to a lifetime no-contact order prohibiting any communication with S.K. He is also permanently prohibited from directly or indirectly mentioning, referring to, or posting about S.K. in any form and is required to remove all existing videos and online content that reference her.

“It's not a long time, but at least he got jail time, and that's all I wanted,” S.K. told Something Worth Reading on Tuesday.
