Chilliwack man denied bail facing criminal harassment charges connected to online stalking of female former co-worker
With several alleged breaches of court-ordered conditions already, Andy Kyungho Yun’s risk to reoffend keeps him behind bars in advance of trial

A Chilliwack man charged with criminal harassment after making hundreds of bizarre YouTube videos targeting a Surrey woman he worked with more than 20 years ago was denied bail Tuesday (May 5, 2026) by a provincial court judge.
The victim in the case was “grateful and relieved” the Surrey judge didn’t accept Andy Kyungho Yun’s release plan ordering him detained in advance of facing his charge.
The victim’s name cannot be reported due to a publication ban, nor can the evidence or arguments made at the bail hearing. It’s likely, however, any judge would find the risk of reoffending high given the 48-year-old’s continued posting of videos targeting the woman despite multiple court orders to stop.
“I can barely leave my house,” S.K. told me on April 20 while Yun was still out of custody, a warrant issued for his arrest.
“I’m feeling like I’m trapped in my own home. I’m going through therapy. I don’t know if he’s outside…. It’s really disturbing.”
S.K. barely knows Yun. They worked together almost 25 years ago. Then in early 2024, Yun found her on LinkedIn and reconnected.
S.K. ended that connection quickly, but that was the start of the stalking by Yun.
Charges
Yun is charged with one count of criminal harassment from April 1, 2024, with an offence location of Surrey, a breach of undertaking on that count in Surrey and then a count of fear of injury to person from exactly a year later, April 1, 2025.
Since then, Yun kept posting hundreds more bizarre YouTube videos where he mentions S.K. by name, sometimes making angry, threatening comments in distorted voices his face digitally hidden by masks of superheroes and monsters.
Yun also faces two more charges of breach of release orders from March 2 and March 3, 2026, with an offence location of Chilliwack where he lives.
