Blaming a Canadian prime minister for global problems is like blaming a crappy umbrella for the rain
Woke is awake and ‘F*CK CARNEY’ virtue-signalling shows your neighbours that all you have to offer is hatred
Ever notice that the vast majority of people with “F*CK TRUDEAU" stickers on their pickup trucks or the bumpers of their beater cars with plastic bags for windows can’t point to a single Liberal policy they don't like?
Or if they try to, they point to things out of the possible bailiwick of the federal government of a nation of 40 million citizens on a planet with two hundred countries and eight billion people?
The Conservative Party’s mosquito-turned-attack-dog-turned-leader Pierre Poilievre used the expression "lost Liberal decade" 11 times during the English leaders' debate leading up to the April 28 federal election.
"Ya, the lost Liberal decade!" his obedient, MAGA-loving, tinfoil-hat-wearing base repeated with no ability to examine if what he was saying made any sense at all.
It reminds me of a meme with Donald Trump at a podium pointing to a duck saying "This is a dog," and a crowd of angry mouth breathers repeating "That is a dog."
A lot of people are frustrated and angry, even destitute and miserable about the geopolitical, economic, and health catastrophes we have seen in the last decade, but blaming it all on Justin Trudeau or the Laurentian Elite or even the Liberal government is like blaming your umbrella for the rain. Or better yet, it's like blaming the umbrella of someone you think should be protecting you from the rain.
Some of the same people who complain constantly about the government interfering in their lives are outraged the government won't help them buy a condo.
If you are a "proud member of a fringe minority with unacceptable views" spending your time keyboard warrioring it up on angry Facebook groups complaining about your "woke" neighbours, have you noticed that you are embracing a criticism and trying to use a compliment as an insult?
Woke just means you are awake, thoughtful, progressive, inclusive, respectful. It means you are a human being. And if you put a giant sign on the front of your SUV (as a neighbour of mine did a couple of years ago) that says “Member of a fringe minority with unacceptable views,” you are saying you are a Nazi. Even if you don’t like Justin Trudeau – I have no opinion about him – when he said those words he was referring to the small number of white supremacists among those in the "freedom convoy."
Thinking is hard but pay attention. You can do it.
And if you put a “F*CK Trudeau” or “F*CK CARNEY” sticker with a maple leaf on your vehicle you are not a patriot or a freedom fighter, you are an angry, bigoted narcissist.

If you had a Trudeau sticker and now have a “F*CK CARNEY” one it’s clear that it’s not about a party leader, it’s not about one political party, it’s only about you.
And. You. Don't. Even. Understand. Why. You. Are. Mad.
You aren’t even Canadian if you think teaching your kids vulgarity is a way to communicate, if you express hatred for people who don’t go to church, if you think the Charter should be torn up, or if you teach your kids it’s OK to burn election signs put up by candidates who if you listened to you would realize you have more in common with than not.
If you think a “F*CK CARNEY” sticker is positive virtue signalling you are wrong. All it shows your neighbours is that you aren’t smart enough or self-aware enough to recognize that all you have is hatred.
Start taking your own advice and stop blaming other people for your own problems. You don't even understand what you are upset about.
Look around. Listen to other people. Pay attention. Grow up.
Rant over.
