"You've gotta get this on audio" – Chilliwack filmmaker Atlee James told me six months ago about this news website, Something Worth Reading.

So, despite having a face for radio and a voice for print, here it is, not just audio but video, too, the inaugural episode of B.C.'s newest podcast about criminal justice and the law, Something Worth Hearing with me, Paul J. Henderson.

In this first episode I chat with Atlee, my co-producer, about the nuts and bolts of the show and I introduce what's coming.

A central element I'll be returning to over and over is my admittedly macabre map showing the location, face, and name of every homicide victim in Chilliwack over the last 20 years, about half of which are unsolved. And about all of those homicides, somebody knows something. I have IHIT spokesperson Sgt. Freda Wong supporting my work and maybe we can prompt some memories into providing useful leads for investigators.

But SWH is not just about crime and the courts. With the help of Vancouver lawyer Kyla Lee, we've got a 'Charter for Dummies' episode coming soon, a look at the BC Human Rights Tribunal, the province's anti-SLAPP legislation, and much more.

Murders might be the most horrific of true crime stories, but I'll also take a deeper look at some of the more interesting, mysterious and bizarre criminal cases I've covered over the years.

Please check it out, subscribe on YouTube and Spotify. Something Worth Hearing is also available in audio on Apple Podcasts and other places you get your podcasts.
