Fraser Valley woman faces more than a dozen charges for allegedly sex trafficking a child with a mental disability
Siobhan Kirby faces 13 charges, including arranging sexual offence against child, making child porn, trafficking a young person for sexual purpose
A 36-year-old Fraser Valley woman was in court Wednesday (Nov. 12, 2025) facing some of the most heinous criminal sex charges involving young people, including allegations of trafficking, sexual exploitation, and creating child pornography with an individual with a disability.
Siobhan Maureen Kirby had a first appearance via video in Abbotsford provincial court on Wednesday (Nov. 12, 2025) to face 13 counts connected to an alleged series of offences on Dec. 1, 2022 in Abbotsford.
Kirby is facing some highly unusual charges from areas of the criminal code not commonly used, including accusations of arranging and/or agreeing on a sexual offence against a child, trafficking a young person for sexual purpose, and materially benefiting from trafficking.
In July 2025, Abbotsford Police Department issued notice that Kirby was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant suggesting she might be in the Calgary area. She was arrested the next day in Parkland, Alberta.
There are publication bans on the case, both for information that may come out at a future bail hearing as well as on any information that could serve to identify the victim.
In court this week, Crown was amending one of the charges, sexual exploitation of a person with a disability, stating that there may also have been an adult male involved with Kirby. It’s unclear if that male is also being charged.
The full list of charges against Kirby include:
1. Possession of child sex abuse/exploitation material;
2. Making or publishing child sex abuse material;
3. Importing/distributing child abuse/exploitation material;
4. Sexual exploitation of a person with a disability;
5. Touching a young person for sexual purpose;
6. Sexual assault;
7. Invitation to sexual touching;
8. Accessing child sex abuse/exploitation material;
9. Telecommunicate to lure child under 18;
10. Arranging/agreeing on sexual offence against child;
11. Trafficking in person under 18;
12. Receiving a material benefit from trafficking; and
13. Procuring sexual services.
Eight of those offences come with a maximum sentence of 14 years in prison, the other five, 10 years. If, however, during the trafficking of a person under 18 there is an aggravated assault or aggravated sexual assault, the maximum sentence is life. Kirby is charged with sexual assault, not aggravated.
Kirby does not have a long list of contacts with the criminal justice system in B.C. In 2020, she had a driving while prohibited charge in Chilliwack, and in 2024 a warrant was issued for her arrest for two such charges.
At that time she was described as being 5’3”, 181 pounds with black hair and blue eyes. The photo distributed of her a year ago by Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers is very different than her more recent mug shot issued while she was wanted in Alberta in which her head is cropped short and she appears to have a tattoo on the front of her neck.

Kirby is currently remanded in custody, next due in court in Abbotsford for a fix-date appearance on Nov. 26.
